Celebrating Our Roots in Canada’s 150th Anniversary Workshop and 28th Annual Heritage Dinner

South West Branch is hosting the “Celebrating Our Roots” Workshop in Canada’s 150th Anniversary and 28th Annual Heritage Dinner on April 22, 2017 at Knox United Church in Brandon, Manitoba. It promises to be an informative and educational event. Highlights of the day will be keynote speakers Gordon Goldsborough of the Manitoba Historical Society, and Lesley Anderson, Canadian Representative for Ancestry.ca. Of special Interest are presentations on Métis, East European, United Empire Loyalists, and British Home Children, with a presentation on the history and significance of drumming by a First Nations Drumming Group. Our genealogy workshop will provide a place to meet and mingle with researchers and presenters where you will find a place to exchange information and share ideas.
